چکیده
Abstract The use of nano-gypsum in low doses can be an innovative method to mitigate salinity-sodicity effects and enhance spinach growth saline-sodic soil. We evaluated four 960, 480, 240, 120 kg ha ?1 , addition the control recommended conventional gypsum dose (~ 30 t ), a randomized complete pot experiment. pots soil were incubated laboratory for 2 months leached 5 times another months. Then, was grown 60 days. 240 with leaching best at improving characteristics compared other both rate. Moreover, it considered critical threshold Compared after leaching, rate increased water-stable aggregate index reduced bulk density by 57.39% 16.30%, respectively; accordingly, saturated hydraulic conductivity up 2.34 times. Improved led decrease exchangeable Na ratio 91% salinity pH 83% 1 unit, respectively. These great improvements properties favored indicators, which leaf area index, root hair fresh yield 2.20, 4.41, 1.29 times, respectively, when Accordingly, is alternative high

Improving Soil Physical Indicators by Soil Amendment to a Saline-Sodic Soil
The application of organic amendments can be an appropriate solution to reclaim and improve physical propertiesof saline-sodic soils. In this research, an experiment was performed under greenhouse conditions to study the effect ofamendments to the physical properties of loamy saline-sodic soil. The five treatments were control (withoutamendment), municipal solid waste compost (MC), vermicompost...

متن کاملBacteria in combination with fertilizers promote root and shoot growth of maize in saline-sodic soil
Salinity is the leading abiotic stress hampering maize ( Zea mays L.) growth throughout the world, especially in Pakistan. During salinity stress, the endogenous ethylene level in plants increases, which retards proper root growth and consequent shoot growth of the plants. However, certain bacteria contain the enzyme 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylate (ACC) deaminase, which converts 1-aminocyclo...

متن کاملStability of a Calcareous Saline-Sodic Soil During Reclamation
General guidelines to reclaim saline or sodic soils do not adequately consider variables such as pH and the presence of organic matter that are known to affect soil stability. Poor structural stability of sodic, saline-sodic, and high-pH soils adversely influences crop yields; promotes piping, tunneling, and slope erosion; and can accelerate the failure of water conveyance systems. We evaluated...
